The Interprofessional Suites provide the clinical environment that supports a healthcare model that is revolutionizing both healthcare education and clinical practice.  Through the Interprofessional Suites at the Patient Care Center, Western University of Health Sciences continues to raise the bar for patient care in Pomona, its surrounding areas and throughout the nation.

What if, instead of one healthcare professional focusing on your health needs, you had a team of professionals working together to deliver the best possible assessment, diagnosis and treatment?

The Interprofessional Suites in the PCC have been specifically designed to support the Western University of Health Sciences’ Vision and Mission of training our graduates on how to excel in a complex health care delivery model that emphasizes collaborative, compassionate and competent health care delivery.  Our team of Healthcare Providers stands out because they have been given the knowledge, understanding and appreciation of the benefits that other healthcare professions can provide for their patients.

Providing their years of specialty training and expertise, the physicians in our Medical Specialty Care are able to join together with other health care providers in providing the best healthcare practices in meeting the needs of our patients.

For example, while a patient with diabetes may need medication and nutrition counseling for their disease, they may also require eye, foot and dental care in order to minimize the possible side effects that can result from having diabetes. All of these services are only steps away in the Patient Care Center. Whether in the Interprofessional Suites, or through excellent communication and collaboration between the specific Centers, patients will be evaluated and treated with a comprehensive and collaborative philosophy by all of the Patient Care Center health care providers.
